Call for Symposia
You are welcome to submit your symposium proposal for the ISEE 2026 conference program!
Symposia are 90-minute discussion sessions that bring together experts to delve into specific topics. These sessions involve interactive discussions with the audience. A symposium will consist of 4 or 5 presenters. All presenters and the chair(s) are required to attend the conference in-person.
Proposal submission deadline is January 16, 2026. Extended: January 23, 2026
Submission guidelines:
- 90-minute slot | 2 co-chairs | 4 or 5 presenters
- The individual presentations should take place first, followed by a joint discussion (Q&A).
- Following details will be collected during submission:
- Details and contact information of chairs and presenters
- Proposed title for the symposium (max. 250 characters)
- Abstract of the symposium (max. 300 words)
- Titles of each presentation & their brief descriptions (max. 100 words)
- Relevance of the presentations to the conference theme “Understanding and Responding to Global and Local Challenges: Environmental Epidemiology in a Changing World” (max. 100 words)
- Keywords from the official keyword list (min. 2, max. 5)
- The co-chairs and presenters are required to complete their registration before the registration deadline stated in the acceptance letter. Unregistered chairs and presenters will be removed from the conference program.
After acceptance of a symposium, all presenters will be able to re-access the submission and update the brief description of their presentation to a full abstract.
Should a symposium be rejected, all presenters will be able to submit their symposium presentation as an individual abstract.

Kindly adhere to the instructions given in the notification emails.
If the symposium is accepted, all presenters will be asked to update the short description of their talk (100 words) to an abstract of 300 words. They will be informed accordingly including guidelines.
All rejected symposium submissions have the opportunity to submit their contributions as individual presentations until March 17, 2025 (23:59 EDT).
